Good Morning Titans,
If you’ve been paying attention to the blog over the last few months then you already know that I and a few of the members of Atlas competed in the Swamp Monster Shootout in Lafayette, Louisiana on Saturday, April 13
th. And let me tell you that we all had a blast!!!!! This may have been one of the most well organized competitions I’ve been a part of and it’s all thanks to Collin Cortez, owner of Conquistador Strength Sports in Lafayette, Louisiana. Some how while working and going to school full time Collin not only managed to put on his second strongman show this year but he also managed to get us out of there before the storms rolled in that afternoon around 3:00pm. If any of you have ever been involved in any type of strength sport before then you know what an accomplishment that is.
So What Were the Events.
Because I’ve already done full articles on each individual event I won’t go into a lot of detail about what each event actually involves but you can click on the event and it will lead you to that article if you’d like to know more. I even made a video on YouTube for each of the movements.
Our first event was the
Axle Clean and Press, next up was the
Husafell Carry, then the
Yoke Walk, followed by the
Jefferson Deadlift and finally the
Atlas Stone Over Bar. If you want to know how everyone did then you’re in luck!!! I’ve made a YouTube video and it’s at the bottom of this article.
