Curb Your Pizza Cravings in Under 5 Minutes!!!!

OK so I'm going to try my hand at a nutrition blog. This is kind of a big deal considering I only eat about 6 things. This is a new one though. I have this problem where whenever I run out of pre prepped meals and I don't have anything to cook I'll just order a pizza but it doesn't stop there. Usually I'll also order cheesy bread, some sort of dessert and a drink. Then I'll eat it all in one night. I know it's a problem but It's genuinely difficult to stop because I love pizza so much. For a long time I was intrigued by the idea of a cauliflower crust but I don't do well with complicated meals and the idea of having to run that much cauliflower through a food processor to make the crust just seems ridiculous. Especially since I don't own a food processor. This is where the pizza quesadilla comes into play. The pizza quesadilla was inspired by watching Lauren Hannon’s Instagram. A lot of you may remember her from her viral video of her breaking her forearm during a powerlifting competition but if this is all you know about her then shame on you because she's strong as hell. Go follow her Instagram right now by following this link. It's OK. I'll wait… So in her version she laid the tortilla on a baking sheet and then made a pizza just as normal. I had a feeling that this method would leave the tortilla soggy however so I devised a different plan. Instead of making it like a pizza just make it like a quesadilla. After all I'm using a tortilla and not a pizza crust. It's super easy too. Just follow the following steps. Step 1: Take your pepperoni (or whatever meat you intend to use) and throw it in the pan. Once it's heated up pull out and put it on a plate. Step 2: Take your tortilla and put it in your pan. If you used pepperoni then you'll have grease in the pan. This will keep your tortilla from sticking. If not then use olive oil. At this time you can also put Italian seasoning on the tortilla. Step 3: Evenly spread your cheese on the tortilla. I like to use an Italian blend cheese that includes mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan. After the cheese is spread then spread your meat on half and close it up. Step 4: Brown the pizza quesadilla on both sides. Step 5: Remove the quesadilla from the pan and cut it into pieces. Then put your pizza sauce on top of the the quesadilla. You can also use the pizza sauce as dipping sauce. Total prep time: Only four minutes and forty seven seconds!!! So that's all there is to it. The most important part is the tortilla you use. If you just buy a pack from Walmart then you have a ton of carbs and at that point you might as well just use a regular pizza crust. That's why I used the same brand that Lauren Hannon used in her video. They're made by a company called BFree and available on Amazon. The ones that I used were made out of quinoa and chia seeds. They're gluten free and have less than a gram of sugar. And that's all there is to it. Make them and let me know what you think. I personally won't shut up about them.
